If elected, what is the most important
issue that you feel needs to be addressed by the City? (Question from The Hometown
Clipper)
The most important issue facing the city is decreasing revenue caused by the economic
downturn. This impacts every level of city service including police, fire, public works,
parks and infrastructure maintenance. As with many households during a bad economy, we too
must modify our spending to meet the needs of a growing population.
I support a comprehensive review of all city services and working with citizens to
prioritize and determine the level of services that they want and need. We must identify
current and future revenues and find innovative ways to share services and maximize
resources through local and regional partnerships.
